DRESS CODE GUIDELINE/ POLICY

SCHOOL DRESS  CODE:

TOPS:

Polo shirts must be white, powder blue, or navy blue and have a collar. 

Polo shirts must fit properly and cover midriff and chest and tucked in.

 

PANTS/SHORTS/SKIRTS/SKORTS:

 

All pants/shorts/skirts /skorts must be tan/khaki or navy blue.

Shorts and skirts must be knee length.

Pants and shorts must be fitted at waist, crotch and length.

 

OUTERWEAR:

 

Sweatshirt, pullover hoodie – plain blue or with WMS logo

 

Dress Code POLICY:

 

No wave caps, bonnets, head scarfs

No jerseys, tank tops, cropped tops, strapless and/or spaghetti strap blouses

No jeans, cutoff jeans shorts of any kind, jeggings, stretch pants, sagging pants, pajama tops or bottoms

No platform, strapless, open toe shoes, athletic sandals, flip flops, bedroom slippers, Crocs, Slides, or House Shoes. Closed toe shoes only

No gang affiliated attire or shirts with inappropriate language or drawings

No athletic company/ team names, designs or patterns, or logos or insignias, except Wright Middle School (WMS) logo

No hats or caps in class.  Only Wright Middle School (WMS) hats and caps/beanies are permitted outside only.

No long belts, chains, studded bracelets, studded belts or neckbands

No clothing considered too revealing, too tight or allowing undergarments to show.

 

 

WMS (Wright Middle School) would like to remind all our families that there is a Magnet Dress Code Policy, enclosed in the parent/student handbook and Magnet school choices brochure that all students must follow. 

 

Applicant agrees to abide by the dress code policy set by the Magnet program selected and hereby waives any right to opt out.
